About the Author
Diane Lobsiger is an electrical instructor at Delta College in University Center, Michigan. She instructs students in the Skilled Trades-Electrician program, Wind Turbine Technology program, and Pre-Engineering program. In her prior work as a senior manufacturing controls engineer for 24 years, she gained a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience in the design, troubleshooting, specification writing, and approval of machine controls systems. Her expertise includes relay control systems, programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, servo systems, adjustable frequency drives, and fluid power systems. She earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Auburn University and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Michigan State University. She recently obtained her Secondary Teaching Certification in mathematics and physics from Saginaw Valley State University. In her free time, she can usually be found fishing at her cabin.

This book has 378 sides where 18 of them are glossary and index. The book is printed unnecessarily with so big font furthermore, easy ladder diagrams often use space of whole side.All the contents of the book would use no more than 160 sides if this book would be printed with an ordinary form as another textbooks.In my point of view author thinks customers are idiots and will not find out tricks that she/he used.Book has some mistakes also.F.exmpl on side 24 example 2 ,formula says 3 x line voltage, it should be the square root of 3 x line voltage. Almost 100$ for this book is realy too much, but book is generally ok.
